Bush Bashing
Harry Belafonte, who has emerged weirdly as one of the Bush Administration's harshest critics, compared the Department of Homeland Security to the the Nazi secret police in his latest broadside.
“'We’ve come to this dark time in which the new Gestapo of Homeland Security lurks here, where citizens are having their rights suspended,' Belafonte said in a speech to the annual meeting of the Arts Presenters Members Conference."
But Belafonte's comparison couldn't be more misguided: You see, the Gestapo was efficient.

It's good that your blog is "inquisitive"...that's helpful. I agree, they are like the gestapo, except the gestapo had better outfits and much cooler nicknames. An administration with nicknames like turd-pirate, or whatever Rove's stupid nickname is, deserves a punch in the nose. Eichmann's nickname used to be "Mr. Awesome Pants" or "Nice Balls." That, to me, is the coolest secret police the world has ever suffered under.
